Alongside LOANS (pho) another great find.
The ribs were great, mac n cheese excellent. Chickens are cooked perfectly.
Lot of variety and BUSY for a reason. I wish they had this BUILDING in Toronto; i'd go a LOT!
My husband and I go to the farmers market at least monthly and always look at the food at Dan's so we finally decided to try the ribs. We got a rack of ribs that cost $32. They were horrible, I make better ribs myself for a lot less! They did have a lot of meat on them, however not tender, fall off the bone ribs at all. The seasoning was also non existent, very blah. Next time I will just walk by!
Comfort food. Chicken. Pot pie. Wings. Sides
We ordered the quarter chicken dinnner with Mac and cheese and creamed spinach. Finish it off with pot pie and original wings.
The good. The pot pie was a little salty, but loaded with chicken and veggies. 4 stars.
The sides were excellent. Creamy spinach and max and cheese.
The chicken was ok. A little dry.
I would pass on the wings. They were drowning in soy sauce. Way to salty for me. 2 stars there.
Service was fast and friendly.
A good choice for the area.
Ive been eating here, not often, maybe once a year for 40 years or so (YIKES!). The chicken and sides are awesome comfort food. Staff is always very quick and they are always super-busy. The Farmers Market wouldnt be the same without this place!
This place has been at the Allentown Farmer's Market for 60+ years. Over the last 30 years I have eaten most of what they serve. Food and fixings are good or very good. Decided this year I was not cooking a Turkey! Call Dan's and order a 10 lb'er. Had the family over for Thanksgiving and all were blown away on how great the Turkey was! I will never make a Turkey again. Price was $5.99 a lb. Best $60 I spent on a Turkey! Left overs tonight for 4 and making a big Turkey pot pie!
